CHERRY A. DE LAS ALAS, a 27-year-old married and blessed to have 2 children ages 5 and 8 from Lucban, Quezon Province. She is the youngest child among her 4 siblings. Her 68-year-old father works as a farmer in their hometown while her 68-year-old mother is a plain housewife. She accomplished her secondary education in Lucban High School year 2001. She previously worked as a service crew in a food restaurant and a sales staff in a convenient store for almost 6 months. Then she had her maid employment experience and was selected to work in Middle East and served an Arabian family living in a bungalow house. 1) An applicant who claims to be hardworking and honest when it comes to doing her work. As an experienced housemaid, she can be considered proficient and flexible in performing household chores such as cleaning, washing clothes, dish washing, and ironing. She is also capable of looking after children and attending to their needs. As a mother herself, she is familiar in doing child care and its basic duties. She also don’t have experience in looking after disabled/bedridden person but she is willing to be trained in performing duties such as bathing, changing of diaper, feeding, accompanying in the park and in the hospital. She is also capable and can give care for pets. She also has skills in cooking Filipino dishes and still keen to learn more for her improvement. A tested applicant who has completed 2 years of employment in Middle East where is considered far more difficult to work as a maid compare to Singapore.
2) United Arab Emirates (2010 – 2011) served an Arabian family living in a bungalow house with 4 pet dogs. There are 2 housemaids working for the family including herself and she is responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of the house, laundering and ironing clothes. She is also bringing and fetching from school one her employers child. She is also looking after the 4 dogs and daily doing bathing, grooming, feeding, and walk the dog in the park.
3) As she has working experience of more than 2 years overseas other than Singapore she only needs to take the English test in Philippines and the POEA processing in Philippines She can be deployed faster than new as she will not undergo the one week in house training in Philippines. Recommended salary to be S$425.00
