PINKY P. SAGAYAGA, a 37-year-old married to a 40-year-old farmer husband and blessed to have 3 children ages 7 to 18. A high school graduate from Isabela, the second largest province of the Philippines located in Cagayan Valley region in Luzon. Agriculture is the main industry and where most maids came from. Her mother died when she’s about 2 years old thus the responsibility of up keeping their house, cooking and other housework was put in their shoulders at an early age. She learned at a young age on how to manage their house and earn a living for their basic needs. After she graduated from secondary, she immediately proceeds for work in their locality. She works as an all- around maid to a Filipino family where she stayed for 3 years and then she was selected to work in Singapore and served a Singaporean-Malay family living in a 4-bedroom condominium with 2 children. Currently she is working as a part-time manicurist, helping her husband in the farm and selling vegetables in their neighborhood while waiting for her application in Singapore to be selected.
1) An applicant who can be reliable for doing her job especially in housework. She is proficient in doing basic household chores such as cleaning, washing clothes, dish washing, and ironing. She is confident in handling infant and young children. As a mother, she is confident and well-versed in doing basic duties of infant care like bathing, sterilizing baby utensils, preparing and feeding the baby, changing of diaper, and knows how to check temperature. She makes sure that all the infant's things are well sanitize and provides safety measure and gives affection to the young children. Working as a maid for 2 years, she had learned how to cook different dishes such as Filipino and Chinese food and still willing to learn other foreign kinds of dishes.
2) Philippines (1991 – 1994) served a Filipino family living in a 2-storey residential house with 2 children ages 2 and 5. She worked as a full-time housemaid and responsible in cooking and doing other daily household chores for the family. She is also liable in taking care of the 2 children and paying attention for their needs. She looked for other job after serving the family for 3 years.
3) Singapore (Jun 2009 – May 2011) served a Singaporean-Malay family living in a 4-bedroom condominium flat with A 4-year-old child. She is responsible in doing everyday household chores such as cleaning, laundering, ironing, dish washing, marketing, cooking Chinese dishes and others as when she is instructed by her employer and other family member. She is also accountable in taking care of the child and performing daily child care duties and attending for their other needs.
4) Employment History of the maid from MOM records available for prospective employer’s reference and verification. Maids can be interviewed by phone upon request. She can be deployed faster than the rest as they don’t require training and entry test only the POEA Training and processing for Filipino Household Service worker for Overseas. Recommended salary is S$450.00
