ELAINE JOY T. SORIANO, a 33-year-old single from Sibugay Province. She is the second child among her 5 siblings. Her 60-year-old father is a retired Philippine army while her 60-year-old mother works as a teacher. She completed her secondary education in Buayan National High School year 1995 and then she decided took a Computer Secretarial course and graduated in Zamboanga A.E. Colleges. Afterwards she look immediately for a job and fortunate to work in a pharmacy store as a sales clerk for 3 years and then she had her maid employment experience and was selected to work in Middle East and served an Arabian family. Currently she is helping her parents in doing household chores in their house while waiting for her application in Singapore to be selected.
1) This applicant claims to be a hardworking, honest, and trustworthy. As an experienced housemaid, she is expected to be well-versed in doing household chores such as cleaning, washing clothes, dish washing, and ironing. She loves dealing with young children and feels happy looking after them. She is able to perform its basic duties like bathing, changing clothes, feeding, preparing food, and sterilizing utensils. She also experienced taking care of her 80-year-old grandfather way back in the Philippines. She was responsible for preparing her things for showering, feeding, giving medicine, and taking her to the bed. As to cooking, she has knowledge in preparing and cooking simple Filipino and Chinese food, and claims to be well in Western dishes.
2) Oman (2010 – 2011) served an Arabian family living in a 3-storey residential house with 4 children ages 1 to 7. There are 4 housemaids working for the family including herself and she is responsible in looking after the children and performing basic child care duties needed such as preparing meals, feeding, bathing, changing of clothes, preparing their school things and bringing to and fetching them from school. She also helps the other maids in doing household chores during her free time. She served the family for a year and decided to went back home to Philippines because of family emergency.
3) As she has working experience of more than 2 years overseas other than Singapore she only needs to take the English test in Philippines and the POEA processing in Philippines She can be deployed faster than new as she will not undergo the one week in house training in Philippines.
